Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026
Mastodon Marketing ("we," "us") is a digital marketing agency based in Pearland, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers:
- mastodonmarketing.com and its subdomains (our website, landing pages, and free tools), and
- access.mastodonmarketing.com — our client account-access portal, where clients securely grant our agency access to their advertising accounts.
1. Information we collect on our website
When you fill out a form (a teardown request, audit, contact form, or booking), we collect what you provide: typically your name, business name, email address, and phone number. We use it to deliver what you asked for and to follow up about our services.
We also use standard analytics and advertising tools — Google Analytics 4 and the Meta pixel (including server-side Conversions API events) — which collect usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device information, and cookie identifiers. We use this to understand how the site performs and to measure our own advertising.
2. The account-access portal & Google user data
When you become a client, we may send you a private link to access.mastodonmarketing.com so you can grant our agency access to your advertising accounts without ever sharing a password.
What we access from Google
If you connect Google Ads, you sign in with Google's own consent screen (OAuth). With your permission, our portal accesses your Google Ads account information via the Google Ads API — specifically the list of Google Ads accounts you can access, their account IDs, and their account names — for one purpose only: so you can choose which account to link to Mastodon Marketing's manager account.
When you confirm your choice, the portal creates a standard Google Ads manager-account link between your account and ours. That is the entire function. Specifically:
- We never see or store your Google password.
- The sign-in token Google issues for your session is held temporarily in server memory for that session only and is not stored in any database.
- We store only the outcome: your business name, which account you linked (its ID), and when.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than creating the account link you requested.
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to operate the portal (our web hosting provider) or as required by law.
- No human at Mastodon Marketing reads your Google data except as needed to support the linking you initiated, with your permission, for security, or to comply with law.
Limited Use disclosure: Mastodon Marketing's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access
You stay in control at all times. You can revoke the portal's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you can remove Mastodon Marketing's manager link anytime in Google Ads under Admin → Access and security.
Meta (Facebook & Instagram)
For Meta, the portal only shows you instructions for adding Mastodon Marketing as a partner inside your own Meta Business Manager. That process happens entirely on Meta's platform — we never collect your Meta credentials or access your Meta data through the portal, and you can remove the partner from your Business Settings at any time.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate — such as web hosting, our customer-relationship system, appointment scheduling, and analytics — and only as needed for them to perform those services, or when required by law.
4. Retention & security
We keep form submissions and client records for as long as we have a business relationship with you or as needed for legal and accounting purposes, then delete them. Portal records (who linked which ad account, and when) are kept for the duration of the engagement. Data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access to our systems is limited to our team.
5. Your choices & rights
- Ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it — email us at the address below.
- Opt out of marketing emails via the unsubscribe link in any message, or reply STOP to text messages.
- Control cookies through your browser settings; the site works without them.
6. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above.
